Stockholm City’s Honorary prize go to people who are important to the cultural life of Stockholm. In 2011 Håkan Lidbo got the prize for the Sergel Symphony, performed as the opening ceremony for the Stockholm Culture Festival 2010.

“When Hakan Lidbo literally drilled himself into the heart of the city during the opening of last year’s Cultural Festival, it was just one example of many inspiring projects from his ever-restless composer. Hopefully Håkan Lidbo continues to reveal the city as a sweet sounding instrument.”
