As a part of the Eurovision Song Contest, Håkan Lidbo performed a mashup of four Swedish hit songs, all named “Electric”. These songs have been strongly influenced by each other. Sometimes even shamelessly copied. The music was not a part of the contest but more like an intermission. It was arranged like some sort of archeology, starting with the most recent song, Anniela’s “Elektrisk” from 2011, Melody Club’s “Electric” from 2002, Robyn’s “Electric” from 1999 and last, the original, Leila K’s “Electric” from 1995.
The act was a collaboration with Branded Dance Concept and featuring the very talented young rapper Cleo - and the vocalist Jessica Folcker (who did the vocals on Leila K’s 1995 song).
The music was performed on the new CCC Pad, a music- and video control prototype from the C3LOOPS research project. The Swedish Eurovision Song Contest is the very biggest Swedish TV production. Almost 50% of the Swedish population watch the show.
