Project: Christmas record sung by cows
The sound that cows make is not so musically interesting. But therefore an interesting challenge. Håkan Lidbo was asked by Arla, Sweden’s biggest manufacturer of milk and butter, to make Christmas Carols from recorded cows. We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Silent night and Nu Är Det Jul Igen, a traditional Swedish Christmas songs. After sorting the cows after relative pitch, some studio magic was added. And then the music was arranged around the cows, with traditional Swedish folk music instruments as well as orchestra, bells and chimes.
