ClientNew music and innovation exhibition at House of Sweden. The Creative Nation – Swedish Music and Innovation’ is a new exhibition opening at House of Sweden in Washington, D.C. It explores the connection between Sweden’s commercial music success and its many technological innovations.
With The Creative Nation exhibition, the Swedish Institute and the Embassy of Sweden in Washington, D.C. showcase contemporary innovators and companies at the cutting edge of a wide range of industries. Zooming in on the music industry, the exhibition highlights artists who have given Swedish pop its reputation for excellence as well as innovators in production, distribution and hardware technology.
Sweden has long been ranked as one of the most creative and innovative countries in the world, with international recognition of its contributions to music, design and technology. Looking at startups, Stockholm is second only to Silicon Valley in producing billion-dollar tech companies, ‘unicorns’. Startups and music share one thing in particular: creativity. The Creative Nation exhibition traces the footprints of notable Swedes and shows how Swedish innovation is part of our common future.
Business relations Sweden–US
Moreover, an interactive part of the exhibition explores the longstanding, strong business connections between Sweden and the US. It shows how many jobs are created in the US by Swedish companies and US exports of goods and services to Sweden. Swedish companies are directly and indirectly responsible for nearly a million jobs in the US alone.
